  Our Story

Bethany Methodist Church began on the southwest side of Green Bay in 1954.  The first place of worship on Redwood Drive experienced enough growth so that land was purchased in Ashwaubenon off Ridge Road on Echo Lane and the present two-level building dedicated in 1967.  A fellowship hall and classrooms were added by 1978.  The latest groundbreaking for expansion and renovation occured on July 1, 2007.

Lambeau Field is a close neighbor to Bethany United Methodist Church along with its sights, sounds, smells, and parking associated with Green Bay Packers football.  Saturday worship at 5:30 pm is offered when the Packers have a Sunday home noon game to assist worshipers in avoiding gameday traffic.

Bethany is a member of the Green Bay Circuit composed of the following United Methodist congregations: Bethany, First, New Faith Hmong, New Hope, New Life Hispanic, Peace, St. Paul's, and Suamico.

  Our People

Bethany's people come from a variety of backgrounds, professions, and experiences.  We try to treat one another with equal respect recognizing that every person has been blessed with special spiritual gifts, talents, and abilities.  Children, youth, and adults participate in various ways in worship and ministry.  We seek the Lord's help in caring for one another and reaching out to others with the compassion of Jesus Christ.

  Our Building Project

Bethany's expansion project includes new offices, lobby, elevator, restrooms, and main entrance.  The redesigned sanctuary features expanded seating with new lighting, audio, and video technologies for worship plus air conditioning.
